Respect for nature

We work with an entirely natural material, an organic composite that forms the basis of our creations: paper stone.

This material is not just a resource, it is at the middle of our approach.
This choice of material is central to our creative process. It embodies our values of sustainability and craftsmanship. Each piece we produce is designed to evolve over time. Beauty comes from imperfection and the passage of time.

The History of Paper stone :

A material with ancient roots.

Paper stone is an ancient material, used since the 18th century to imitate stone in the production of ornaments and light sculptures. Originally made from a mix of papier-mâché and plaster, it was used to create decorative elements with a lightness and flexibility that made it easier to handle than natural stone. This tradition has been perpetuated over the centuries, and today we're reinventing this material with an environmentally-friendly composition.

A natural and sustainable composition.

The Paper stone we use is made from natural, recycled raw materials. It is mainly made from cellulose wadding, which comes from recycled paper, and oyster shells, which are waste from the food industry, as well as a natural glue.

This unique combination provides a rich, organic texture, while making the most of resources considered waste in other industries.
The use of these recycled and renewable materials makes Paper stone an eco-responsible material, helping to reduce the ecological footprint of our creations. By reintegrating these residues into an artisanal production cycle, we make paper stone an example of the circular economy, where each element finds a second life.

Thanks to its robustness, Paper stone can withstand the test of time. Objects created with this material are varnished and made to last.
